Emergence
A single solid that grows, shrinks, and multiplies into more of itself continuously, in step with the space between your hands.
Hold both hands up, open. A single shape sits between them and answers continuously to the space you leave — pull your hands apart and it grows, bring them together and it shrinks, no threshold before it responds.
It does not just resize as it grows. Pull further and it multiplies, in the same motion: one solid becomes four smaller copies of itself, one at each of its own corners, hollowing out where its center used to be, and each further degree of separation subdivides it again. Bring your hands back together and it unwinds exactly the same way. It cannot subdivide forever — past a point, pulling further apart simply holds the most intricate form it can become.
